Acclaimed violinist Mazz Swift (Today Show) will perform.  Dancer/choreographer Andre Zackery will perform his new experimental piece I Want To Give You Something Beautiful. Gifted singer/songwriter imani uzuri will share portions of her new musical girl shake loose her skin based on the poetry of sonia sanchez (with a few surprise guests).  Don't miss this night of firsts and innovation.

The New Black Fest Development Initiative

The New Black Fest Development Initiative is a commitment to provide opportunities for development to theater artists from the African Diaspora. This initiative will provide space, fellowships, commissions, international exchanges and/or any other resource that can help playwrights reach their full and deserving potential.
